Rhodes School for the Performing conducts
Student Led Conferences (SLEDS) are a way for student’s to display their schoolwork as well as discuss their learning, educational goals, and strategies to meet these goals. In lieu of parent-teacher conferences, these conferences are continuations of classroom conversations. They focus on the learning that takes place between the teacher and the student throughout the year.
- STUDENTS actually show parents what they know and are learning in school.
- Parents are exposed to materials and activities that students engage in during the school day.
- Teachers can observe interactions, comment, offer suggestions, and model strategies.
- Students, parents, and the teacher are all active participants in the conference. Crew!
