Northshore Campus

RSPA’s Northshore Campus provides a comprehensive fine arts program that includes performing arts, visual arts, and engaging academics. The Northshore Campus enrolls students PreK4 – 6th grade. Before and after school care, as well as early childcare, is provided through our partner, the Crayon Club.

Enjoy this special message from our principal…

Greetings, Tiger Family!

It’s only two months remaining of school this year and time sure flies when we are having fun watching our scholars grow academically. This month, we are Going for the Gold as our PreK-2nd grade teachers continuously focus on our students’ reading levels and mathematical skills while our 3rd-6th grade teachers prepare for the upcoming STAAR assessments.

We had a blast at our opening ceremonies last month as we cheered each grade level to work hard and do their best this testing season. During our STAAR Olympics, scholars can earn points based on behavior, participation, and academics. The scholar with the most points in math, reading, and science will have a chance to be awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals every Friday in April. Our first awards ceremony will be on April 5th, and scholars will wear their team colors (see attached flyer).

Join us on April 4th in the RSPA Olympic Park as we have our STAAR game night for all grade levels. All 3rd-6th grade parents can attend sessions with teachers and learn how you can help scholars at home. PreK-2nd grade parents will engage in fun learning games that will reinforce skills your scholar is learning in the classroom.

Scholars will also take the Mock STAAR test in math and science (5th grade only) this month. The Mock test will tell us where our scholars are and what we need to work on to prepare for the actual STAAR test later this month.

PreK-2nd grade scholars will attend various field experiences this month, so please check their folders for permission slips. Please contact your scholar’s teacher if you want to volunteer to attend the field experience.

Thank you, parents, for joining our Campus Improvement Plan Meeting last month and providing insight into how we are doing. Your feedback matters to help make our campus stronger and the best it can be.

Attendance matters and is a vital part of your scholar’s success. Our motto is 98% is great. We are rewarding the class with the highest attendance in April with a class party, so let’s see which grade level will win (see flyer)!

As always, thank you for allowing us to invest in your scholar and being part of RSPA’s campus.

If students wear shorts, they must reach the end of the student’s fingertips or no shorter than 2 inches above the knee.

Early Release Fridays:
Please remember that every Friday is an early release day. All scholars will be dismissed at 1:00 PM. Please ensure transportation methods are arranged accordingly.

Arrival & Dismissal Procedures:

Attendance:
Attendance Matters Every Day! – TEXAS STATE LAW REQUIRES A WRITTEN EXCUSE FROM THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN WHENEVER A STUDENT IS ABSENT FROM SCHOOL.

To change an absence to an excused absence, a parent note or doctor’s note must be received in the attendance office no later than three days after the student returns to school. If a note is not received, the absence will remain unexcused (students who miss 10 or more school days may receive an attendance behavior contract and could be subject to compulsory attendance laws). A phone call does not take the place of a written note. Notes can be submitted to Mrs. Hairston at shairston@rhodesschool.org.

As a reminder, school starts at 7:55 AM, and your child is tardy at 8:05 AM. They must be signed in at the front office if you arrive after 8:05 AM. Three tardies are equivalent to one absence, so please bring your scholar to school on time.
